goths, in general, do not widly go in for specilist slang and lacking a coherent aim, or direction are not in need of any Jargon. The need only really arises when actually defining goth or parts thereof.

Expect, thereofre, this section to be fairly light.

The bands that began the gothic rock and death rock scene were limited in number, and included Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Southern Death Cult, Sex Gang Children, 45 Grave, UK Decay, The Virgin Prunes, Alien Sex Fiend and Christian Death. Joy Division and Killing Joke have also been linked, but there is debate over their influence. --wikipedia

  • Batcaver - old school goth [-A] fromt he times of The batecave nightclub in Londons SoHo.
  • Baby Bat - Older school (old goth) (limit use) pet name for a youngger goth likely to mature into an older goth one day
  • Baby Goth - Someone just discovering goth, could potentiall become a Baby Bat but just as likely to become a mall-goth.

  • Corporate goths - another suspiciouse word I've never heard in the wild. Possibly relates to Goths in the work place which are usually called "goths in the work place".

  • Elder goths - [A] I'm pritty sure the Wikipedia made this word up. The term you are looking for is Old Schooler [A] - [A+]. London goths might also user familial names such as uncle, grandad or toher terms PLUS goth for specific and venerated goths noted for their agedness in the goth scene [A]. They are considered original goths [-A].

  • Fake - 90% of Goths are part of, or post, what is considered Generation X. As such to be fake is to commit the ultimate sin.

  • Mansonite - [B] to [DC] deogitory term to identify a self proffesed goth that like Marrolin Manson a "singer" often called goth much to the massive iritation of all pre-[D+] goths.
  • Mall-Goth - US word akin to Neo-Goth, Mansonite, Sk8er, Skater-Goth or spooky kids

  • The Sisters AKA The Sisters of Mercy - Most A. Eldritch a definitive early goth group with only one member in common throughout the history of the "band". More a lable, they clearly mark out one end of the gothic music scale.
