How to be hosted

To host you novel on lordmatt.co.uk you need only to have a (free) account from your about me page write a little aboout yourself (look at the top of the page and see that red link in the shape of your user name... click it). Then you can add MYNAME-MyNovel changing the details to suit. You will then have apage where you can list all the chapters MYNAME-MyNovel-# replace that # with the chapter number.

Your novel should be PG13 or extreamly well written (Lord Matt's call) - if you have any doubt about your WriMo then post a synopsis and plot break down with the most "mature scenes" made mention of. Also make mention of the use of "dark arts" or occult by the main characters.

Consider:

 • What is the swear level like?
 • How violent?
 • What would your mum think of it?

How to be hosted with style

To add extra style to your novels hosting instead of typing the chapter list type MYNAME-MyNovel-chapters and then a few lines above that add your synopsis so people know if your novel is thier kind of thing.

If you feel that sensitive people might feel a little offended then also add MYNAME-MyNovel-warning at the very top.

Once you have saved the page you will see two reader to be made wikilinks with the word "Template:" before them. Click the warning and write your standard warning. Then back up and click on the chapters link. Put your chapter list as * MYNAME-MyNovel-# a nice bulleted list.

Back up to the main page (press refresh a few times if the content is not showing up) and you now have the disclaimer and the chapter list on the front page.

OK. Go ahead and click chapter one and add it. This is where style comes in. put that curly brakcketted stuff in top and bottom (chapters at the bottoma nd disclaimer at the top).

Once all 30 days worth are in you should have the same chapter list on every page with a disclaimer at the top too. The chapter being read will be bold-unlinked text on the list.

Go ahead and add yourself to the hosted template (if you know how)
