Lord Matt on...
From LordMattWiki
A whole other project that Lord Matt has been working on called fact-o-page
The idea is very simple. Wiki's rule the page rank in part due to meta data that they publish. Well meta data is interesting (at least to Lord Matt). The META project lives at lordmatt.co.uk/fact/ then add your fact word on the end of the URL.
A collection of modules take it in tern to look at the keyword and see if they know anything related. The most obviouse came first: blog posts tagged with the word, test storied against the word, public content (syndic8).
Examples:
- http://lordmatt.co.uk/fact/thanet%20council - The side bar shows posts tagged thanet council
- http://lordmatt.co.uk/fact/mankind - the body has some text added against the keyword
- http://lordmatt.co.uk/fact/funny - the body shows feed results found from syndic8
Once the fact-o-page has been asked about a word it remembers the word if it found anything of note. The footer has a module that outputs random links to words from the past.
In time meta-meta data will develope which shall most likely be shown too.
NB: there is also a body item that outputs feed content based on feeds stored against the keyword but at this time it is known to have a fault.
