spamming is evil and vile and even wiki spamming as a form of promotion is a sign of a crap website that should be removed at all speed and the creators of said site burned slowly to death...

When ever some human sputum garbage bag spams this or any other website I encourage you to go fill out this form and report them.

Spam is a blight upon the internet.

Spam can take many forms from emails to comments to wiki defacement and so on and so forth. Any thing that trys to drown out all other messages by bombarding the viewer with adverts, slogans, links or any form of promotion or view is spam.

Often this is both unsolosited and off topic (totally out of context).

Spammers (those that commit spam) will often go to great lengths to fool systems put in place to stop rouge messages and off topic content (spam). With email this is to get past the junk mail blocker and on wiki's this is often to get around the review and anti-abuse systems.

Why do people do this? (Geed and lack of imagination on the whole.)

Most spam want's you to buy something or enhance the rating of some third rate website at the expense of you, your site and your readership. Never purchase from spammers. Always do what you can to damage the business of spammers if you can and know how.
