The Wiki Code
From LordMattWiki
The wiki code started as an idea in my mind that went something like: wouldn't it be cool if we had something like the geek code (or the goth code) to identify wikis!
However wiki's are a little too big for that kind of thing it seems and so the idea has floundered waiting for better minds to take it further.
It has been some what eclipsed by WikiMark and it seems to me that every link in a wiki should be considered rel="tag" and that left wikicode redundant before she started.
However WikiMark has shown us the way forward.
WikiCode is much like wiki mark but it identifies broad subject areas. Like tagging it remains to be seen where the consensus places value but let us continue.
WikiCode + Subject word.
Example: [[goth|WikiCode:Goth]] = WikiCode:Goth your wiki code link(s) go(es) (ideally) on the WikiMark page. In order for this to work it is vital that the code linked word carry the user to a full article on the subject at hand which makes it easier to identify good wikicode words as they are the biggest, most well written and widly read wiki pages and perhaps categories.
With categories under media wiki one coulod direct the spider to the special page but not all categories are as important or permanant.
So now we need a WikiCode page for visitors so that we can tell them what these links mean.
