Originally from the goth page When vampire stories are unpopular or cult following only then does the goth community have a tendency to feel free to enjoy this form of litriture.
In this way lots of goths privately enjoyed reading Anne Rice's first few vampire chronicles. However from the moment the media got a hold of the film rights the goth culture went very cold on them (although privately the film was enjoyed yet shunned by the majority of goths).
There are a few goths that revel in the tackiness of pretend vampireisum and a handful that take it seriously. There is a tendency for these goths to be mocked by all other goths.
