Why Define

When you write about a topic regularly you will soon come to understand more of the jargon than your readers. What becomes second nature to you may be filled with guess work for others.

You may remember a time when you did not know what CSS was or what GCSE stood for or even what HTML was. Today you may or may not know what SEO, SEM or Black Hat means or you might think you understand what a writer means by Hacker only to discover they were talking about something else.

To alleviate this it is suggested that you define words that readers might not understand.

As such NP_Glossary is an answer to this need for NucleusCMS users. It provides a simple way for bloggers to create a glossary by simply enabling a single word to be defined each post. While this sounds inefficient it forces the author to focus on one specific word from his or her article and define it well. Over the course of a year an active blogger could have defined well over 200 words.

Over three years that might rise to about 450 words.

Any system that allows writers to define in this much detail without noticing is good.

Now of course others may wish to detail good software for this aim - so please consider this page a work in progress that you can add to.
